End-to-end data collection strategy using mobile sink in wireless sensor networks

Several data collection algorithms, which are based on the combination of using mobile sinks and multiple-hop forwarding, have been proposed to prolong network lifetime wireless sensor networks. However, most approaches treat point selection touring path planning as two independent problems, leads a sub-optimal solution for collection. This article an ant colony optimization end-to-end strategy perform simultaneously. The algorithm first constructs data-forwarding tree, then heuristically selects points plans at same time. performance evaluation shows that can improve compared other approaches, especially in unbalanced distribution scenario sensors. is also capable being integrated with methods.
